Our Elf is Here

I am so excited to start these two traditions with my kids. First is our own Elf on the Shelf. I can't wait to see what name Ellie comes up with for our elf. I know Alexis is going to LOVE this tradition. It will only add to her love of the Christmas holiday. (It was made just for her, didn't you know?)

You can see that our Elf is sitting on some gifts. That is our other new tradition. I am starting an advent of books. Some are Santa themed and some our Christ themed and some are just for fun. (Thank you Grandma for helping our collection.) I will share each day what book we read. I know that the kids will love to open a gift every day. Our Elf brought this awesome stack of gifts. Can't wait for the kids to wake up.

By the way this is the only Christmas decoration that is up in our house right now. I am starting late this year and I don't feel bad about it.
