My kids like to play in the windows in
our front room, which happens to be the playroom. So I can't really stop
them if that is their space. They like to pull on the blinds and play
in them. It drives me crazy and I am always finding bits of blind mixed
in with the toys. I don't have a budget to replace the blinds and I
don't really care for them anyways.
I
was inspired by this idea of wrapping frames with lace to use as
screens. This idea comes from a sweet Swedish blog. I saw it on
Pinterest.
I
saw that idea and thought, "Hey! I could do that to my front windows." I
had two lace shower curtains that I had used for my dining room window
treatments a long time ago. I grabbed those, my handy staple gun, and
got to work.
First
I cleaned the windows. Then I turned the storm window around and
stapled the curtain right to the wood frame. I trimmed off the part that
hung over and hung the window back up. Easy peasy. Since I already had
everything, it didn't cost me a penny (which my husband loves).
What
do you think? I have enough curtain to cover probably three more
windows. It won't take care of all of my windows but it will cover the
most important ones.

This window sits on our front porch and looks right into the playroom. I am very pleased!
