I was asked to create a carrying case for a miniature Book of Mormon. I had never made a cover before. So this is my process.
I first measured the book by wrapping my measuring tape from the front to the back to know what my biggest piece would be. Then I measured the book's height. I added a half inch all around for seam allowance. I then measured the inside cover to see how far I wanted the pocket for the book cover to go into.
I cut interfacing and ironed it on to give the fabric more stability.
I didn't take anymore during photos. I got too caught up in the process. This was fun to make.
