Cheap Gift Idea: Character Stones

My oldest daughter is special needs and is difficult to buy gifts for. At Christmas time I we were taking her to Disney World and didn't want to get a bunch of gifts as well. However, I still wanted her to have something to open on Christmas morning. I thought long and hard and then it hit me. One of her favorite things to do is put things in her socks. (I know it sounds weird but that is what she likes to do and it keeps her entertained for a long while.) So why not make her stones with Disney characters on them. I already a package of the large floral glass stones. All I needed were images.

I went online and found a bunch of her favorites and printed them out on card stock. I made sure they were small enough to fit in the circle. The images that worked best were jpeg's.

I then mod podged the stones right on top of the images.
After they were dry, I cut them out. I have yet to seal the back. I ran out of time, but that hasn't stopped her from playing with them everyday. Her little sister likes to put them in rows while Alexis still likes to just put them in a sock.
